Stu. If you are in the UK then Caravan sites are designated 'special locations'. Check out the IEE Regs for specific advice. There you will find a section dealing with just such sites.

thanks Frank. I have the regs but would you have the 23 hook up points on radial ccts or would you feed them individually from a distribution board?

Stu

There are no specific rules in this instance. You just have to design a sub feeder that is capable of the maximum demand or a number of sub feeders (say 6 number serving 4 posts) at a maximum of 16 amps per post ie 64 amps radials. Depending on your particular circumstances you can say either 10mm or 16mm xplc/swa. Allow some diversity- 25% perhaps and there you have it. But design it to suit your specific location. You will need to install rcd controlled (or Rccb) breakers within an IP Box and have CeeForm type 16 amp switched socket outlets. Similar to MK Commando types. Upstream control would mnot be rcd protected but close current protection via mcb's rated somewhat lower than the current rating of the cable but highr than the radial maximum demand.
