Just finished a PV class. Way to expensive for the folks up here, I don't see many people spending the cost for the limited return.

I looked into it really deep, and turned away. I don't see the tech.to make it cheap enough to the working guy. Looked like a saleable product when there was a lot of crazy money around. Now people are holding out to see how bad this recession is going to get. Still some gov and state work do require a touch of green for thier dollars spent. If you wanted to go for the larger stuff, and getting certified can't hurt.I'd say the jury is still out on the main stream $.

If you're in the Stevens Point, Wisconsin area the weekend of June 19 - 21 the Midwest Renewable Energy Association Energy Fair takes place. It's supposed to be the biggest in the country. www.the-mrea.org for info. I hope to learn more there.

I won't argue about that but I would not leave that money laying on the table either.
The money will be spent with or without me, I am going to try to grab onto what I can.

I can't speak for CA but in general many areas have rebates and or Tax incentives that can be applied to PV installations
Even in areas that have little money they will have no choice but to spend money on alternative energy as many areas have mandates that require a certain percentage of an areas power to be supplied by renewable sources.
