Does anyone out there install "Burglar" alarms? It looks like a good bet around here, reading the crime reports.I'd have to adjust my liability insurance, but " Crime Can Pay."

SOME of The problems Ive encontered on residental systems, gaurdian gives a system away, minimal or no money down to get the monitoring at an inflated price, in lots of cases the people sighn leins and judgments on the realty that transfers to the next owner and a lot of their equipment is priprotory like chemtronics.

Industrial and Goveremental where its engineered and in conduit and requires skill and experience I CLEAN UP.

We need a special license here to install Burg systems, basically a background check to make sure you aren't a threat to the public. There can be money made but I believe more of the $$ is on the monitoring side. If you can get a cut of recurring monitoring fees then that is something to grow on.

100% concur with this post, I've done both in the past. Made great money in govt installs. Did the resi for the experience mostly, but once in a while you get money is no object homeowners and you can rake in on those as well. I got out before they started requiring licenses for it here cause of all the circus acts I had to compete against. Bid openings looked like closing time at the disco.
