Default Expired electrical license

Hi does any one know the answer to this?...I work with an Electrician that had his electrical license frozen by the Department of Revenue...He told me he was going to renew it next week but i told him he may have a problem with that...The license expired on july 31 2010,And its coming up on 3 months..Does any one know the answer and / or solution to his problem..Do you think he will be able to renew it?

If the DOR is taken care of, he probably will need to have his continuing education done. then wait for the state of MA.

I really have no idea. I'd just call the board in the morning. They actually answer the phone!

Shoot you beat me too it, I was just about to tell him he probably shouldn't of gotten himself in trouble in the first place or let it expire then pretended to be a friend of said electrician.

Be glad you are not in CT, you would have to take the test over. They don't play around with that here. As I hear, they took away all the grace periods that they originally had.

Here you can go 4 years before you must take another test. Otherwise you just pay the late fee, complete and mail in a financial report and take a business/ethics exam.

I guess it's not easy to pay those taxes doing $1200 service changes.

In VA, you only have one year to renew. After that, you have to retest

And we reciprocate. Cannot figure why SC and TX reciprocate. Oh, we also reciprocate with Utah. Silly it seems to me.

Not sure but years ago we had a city license and the state license. Must have changed it when they went to just the state license.
