Welcome to the forum.

Google 'surplus circuit breakers'. The guys that sell 'em, also buy 'em! Shop around, and don't sell 'em too cheap.

Best Wishes Everyone in 2008

We changed out an entire hi rise a few years ago. They make good doorstops, table levelers, elevator counterweights...

Does it count if someone tripped over it after landing?

With that many breakers, you might be able to make a nice patio using them as pavers.

You had to remind me of that... I'd like to ring the neck of the guy who invented those. I'd love to hear his rationale, what the heck he was thinking... or smoking?

Today I saw a 20 amp Zinsco with 2 fridges a hair dryer about 7 light openings and the christmas tree lights plug and the outdoor x-mas lights all on it and it did'nt trip. the fuse blew. And by fuse I mean the new decora plug the handyman installed on the second outlet from the panel in the circuit.

I've had only one experience with Zinsco. I remember the breakers looked like toy plastic. I thought the single row of breakers was unique. Problem was the main kept tripping because the installer didn't change any of the leg selections on the breakers, so the entire house was utilizing only one leg of the service.

"and don't sell 'em too cheap".

Reason I said that is just try to buy one . . .

I am one of those unfortunates strapped with a 100 amp FPE panel in my shop. Need a 2P100. Cheaper to just swap out the whole panel for a real panel than to buy that FPE replacement breaker . . . Those FPEs were free in the 80's.

Never thought about paving the driveway with the crushed ones though . . .

Best Wishes Everyone in 2008
