Can you carry your own weapons over there? Or are their company supplied weapons and ammo? Or do you get your own armed security detail? Not Afghans either..

But wait......

12 hours a day is 4380 hours per year.

At 10,000 per month, x 12 months, that 120,000 per year.

That's awesome!

However.... 120,000/ 4380 hours = $27.39 per hour.

I made more working in Bayonne without the threat of some MUSLIM terrorist-scum.

Guy I used to work with done a contractor gig in Iraq. What made the deal really sweet for him was since he was out of the country for 325 days out of the year, I believe it was the first 90% was tax free.

You're forgetting the expat tax considerations. That means its cash. No FIDA, SSA, MEDICARE, MEDICADE, OBAMA HEALTH CARE RELIF, STATE TAX, PARISH TAX, COUNTY TAX, CITY TAX, ZONING ENFORCEMENT. So on and so forth.

I doubt you would have to worry about a missile or mortar attack in a major American city. Even the Green Zone in Iraq was frequently attacked with success. No. Not for me. No way. Its not enough money anyway.

Can you consume alcohol?
Hows the food?

Afghanistan and Iraq are really dangerous. Those people hate us, with good reason to. I'd consider going as long as I didn't have to work with any locals, no local vehicles allowed in and enough security that any attack wasn't possible. Doubt I'd sign on for 12 hour days though. 4-5 10's and I want a few days off.
