Looks like a lot of those discos are turned off. Is most of that stuff off intentionally, accident, seasonal, ????, etc.

I must assume that it is one service as I do not see the CT cabinet or meter. This is fairly an easy job as there are about 15 switches turned off, the large switch does not feed anything, the motor starter is off, it looks like a few breakers are off. I believe you can set two 30 circuit panelboards and be done with it. Two electricians should be able to gut this place and install the panelboards in two days for $8,500.00. The secret is labeling and knowledge of the building.

Okay here's the scoop.

Most of the loads that used to be fed from here are disconnected and physically moved somewhere else. They're going to be renovating this building and moving their ammonia refrigerant system here.

I took my boss down there today. This wall is fed with a 480V feeder. They don't have any use for 240 or 208 for 3-phase loads. All their big equipment is 480, so we are going to demo everything (including the transformer) and put in a nice new 480 panel with plenty of capacity for future additions. We'll stick a little transformer to supply a 208/120 3-phase panel for lights and plugs and stuff. They prefer using 3-phase everywhere possible cause it's easier to balance loads on their service.

So for now this will be easier than I thought; demo everything and just install a couple blank empty panels. We will add circuits for equipment as they need them.

I can't wait to push that transformer off the balcony

-sigh- Yeah realistically it will sit at our shop for a few years collecting dust until all of a sudden somebody needs a 45 kVA step down transformer.

But I really want to push it off the building.
