Default Homemade warming table

I found this at a Church, it is a homemade warming table in the kitchen.

When I saw the thread title, immediately I pictured dozens of FPE circuit breakers laid on their side, all wired in series, covered with a sheet of frosted glass.

But after seeing the pictures, well, it exceeded my expectations!

I'm impressed, they used BX and pipe instead of the typical unstapled Romex.

All UL listing and other issues aside, just to the basic thermdynamics and operational efficiency. Unless I am looking at it wrong, they have the insulation in the entirely wrong spot to make this contraption work best.
