Default House has the ground and neutral bridged...What about garage?

Quick question:

Like the title says, my house has the ground and neutral tied together at the panel. Does my garage need to be the same way or shall I separate them both?

I'll have a 100 amp breaker in the house panel that will feed a sub panel in the garage.
