Default The Journeyman Test

Does this test vary from state to state, im sure it does right? How much does it generally cost? What is the question set up, like multiple question? What are you allowed to do under this license does that vary with state as well?

Yes, but the test is based on the NEC, not local codes or ordinances.

The test in my area is $50.00. You get 2 chances to pass before you pay another $50.00. You need to account for school and books. If you think you can walk in and just pass you are in for a very frustrating test day.
Call your vocational or communtiy college for class and book cost's. Check with the licensing agency and get the requirements to take the test.

Yes, every test I have seen and heard of were multiple choice.

A licensed journeyman is the next step above apprentice. You may get to run jobs. Maybe a foreman type position. Teach apprentices ect...
Check with your Licensing board and see if you can skip the journeymans and go for the masters.
Here in SC. if you test for the contractors association you take the masters exam. If you test for the municipal association you must take both tests to get a masters.
