Default Licensing question?

Contacted by a GC who had wired a small room add himself, tried to call in a rough electric inspection, and was denied because he is not a licensed electrical contractor. I do a good bit of work for this GC, and want to help him out, but dont know how to cover myself. Is me going over the work he performed sufficient? Do I need to contact AHJ and see what they want? Thanks

I would check with the AHJ. This is a licensing issue and is different in every state and area.

In Utah if you went in and check over the installation and signed off on it as the electrical contactor, you would assume ALL of the liability for the electrical installation. I personally would not ever do this, but that is just me.
