I think if you do a search in this forum you may find some info. I think there has been some discussion on it recently.

Default Working Overseas

Hello Mike;
I am currently working in Iraq as an Electrical Inspector. My suggestion is for you to research KBR.com in the LOGCAP section, DAAR Engineering, The Stanley Group, SBH (Stanley, Baker, Hill). I was personally picked up by DAAR Engineering (they contacted me via viewing my resume on Monster Jobs). Some other electrical providers out here are Englett and Stubbs, IEP, and Fleur. I hope I've been helpful to your goals.

Default overseas work

The company I work for did a basic back ground check, but other than that I just had to secure my passport and get all the necessary inoculations for working here.

I just got a memo in my cubby hole asking if i would be interested in heading to Afghanistan. It would be a great experience but i don't think i could live there for a year.

Inglett & Stubbs is based out of Atlanta. I have alot of friends that work for them over in Afghanistan. The biggest complaint I've heard out of them is it's like being in prison. Once you get there there is no leaving the base. It's hard work also.

As far as the company goes I worked for them for 7 1/2 years and didn't have any complaints. They have the people and resources to do just about anything. I think you'll like the people if you decide to go there.

There's work in Afghanistan. www.attayeegroup.net. Attayee Logistics Limited is hiring US state licensed electricians and electrical engineers. Send resume and scanned copy of your current state license to michael.alley@attayeegroup.net
