Default mvw generators control /protection

Well there is no minimum standard on protection , there is a engineered control designed system for each plant , if were talking MVW hydro/turbo ,this means faults and major switching cause impedance and voltage issues on transmission lines or bus bars, grid , to restore impedance and voltage there is lots more than a post . These large generators use a kind of governor control system of motor valves ports turbine or hydro gensets to restore to a steady state imped/ volts, also included protection relays more with zones to keep plant running one must think about these big megga gensets they rotate by pressure hydro water or turbine steam pressure rotating its a major control of speed and load its not your back yard generator 5 kw its a water works issue and a electrical and electronic control of system lots of stuff how about you tell me more on what specific question you need first in detail and ill try and give you a good detail page on what you want ? have you ever tried the Engineering Forum they might be able to help better as iam just a electrician . best to ya take care

Default VOLTAGE BALANCE page one

Its protection from a voltage balance relay control circuit of each generator ,it monitors both generators hydro or turbine with two voltage potential transformers on each generator line of the two . These also operate turbine & hydro controls like electric valve port operation and controls of water & steam meaning turbine & hydro electrohydralic system controls kind of a governor of water & steam loss of voltage disables the system from fault or misoperation to line or generator . It also trips breaker shuts down hydro or turbine ports and controls. best to ya

Default Impedance Protection Page Two Of Two

Well its the same you can say , transmission line protection also its the same protection with same over current differential or impedance type relays that give protection of the zones between substations kind of circuit breaker or breakers that will trip in the event of a fault ,overload , voltage stress on transmission line with relays meaning impedance mis matching on line they operate for faults away from their respective buses with directional overcurrent protect relays , and shut down system by electronic and relay functional controls of hydro &turbine ports valves govenors electrohydralic circuits systems . Best to ya Speedtronics hope this is ok ? Dont know much about writen but ill give a little to the basics of electrical distibution Merry Xmas and Happy New Year
