Every underground run I ever ran was THWN. That said, if it fails, it fails and if it causes problems down the road, then it does. If your paygrade doesn't include engineering questions, I'd let it go.

In my experience, wires are marked THHN/THWN/THW-2 when they are equivalent. I know I've had many guys tell me THHN has the same qualifications as THWN, but if the wire isn't so marked, why would anybody believe it?

No doubt if it's not marked, it has to be as such to be legal. I was just saying all the reels I buy these days does have the labeling.

The SimPull is marked, but the standard marking with all the ratings is fainter than the bold white marking that says "SimPull THHN"
It confused me the first time I used it for an underground pull.
