Default Server Move Coming

Howdy Folks!

This site is currently on a shared server that has been having some problems lately. In order to make sure we are accessible at all times I'm going to move ElectricianTalk.com to my dedicated server. This should mean less down time and a faster site.

The move will probably take place early Thursday morning (1/22/2007).

Just an FYI so you know what's going on if you see us down for a few hours in the coming days.

Thanks,

Will the e-mail updates also be immediate when this change takes? instead of at 5pm daily?

I really hope so. We are going from a Pinto to a Ferrari as far as servers go so hopefully it will do the trick!

Just as a reminder... your talking about when you subscribe to a thread right? Because I got a notification that you replied to this thread right away. Maybe the server load was down?

Yeah about the subscribed threads, I get email notification immediately from contracor talk (or when outlook does a send/recieve every 3 minutes).
But from Electrician Talk I get all the notifications at once between 5 and 5:20

I still got all my emails between 526 and 527 today. And also have getting 'updates' for threads telling me I was the last poster.

Ah, now it's making sense.
Go here: http://www.electriciantalk.com/subscription.php
Does it list daily or instant under subscriptions?

If it's daily you need to change your default to instant or whatever you like.
