Default single phase to three phase

hey, fellows:
i had run into a problem, as customer had single phase at there bussiness.Now, they wanted 3 phaseto use just for their walk-in refrigeration of 23.6amp on 208(230)volt, and other walk-in freezer as total of 11.8 on 460 volt. As i try to get a step up transformer,but i could not get up to 460 volt.Any idea without phase convertor, since this is relate to hermertic compressor help me out

cheaper to have the refr sales co take back their equipment and replace it with what matches the power on site.

Default hardhead business men

somehow, the owner rather to spent the money on electrician,since they bought those equipments really cheap. seem like i got to get more.Or any A/C tech can change out the compressorto be 208,instead of 480.Andwt is the risk.thanks fellow

look close... what aspects of the equipment actually uses the 480 3P?
If it isn't brand new (and even if it is) change those items.

Compressors can be changed out to any voltage you would like. Just make sure all the other start components are rated at 208/230 volts. Compressor change-out takes about 6-8hrs, depending on tech, with no risk involved, as long as the system is not "open" for a long period of time which would allow condensation to build up in the refrigerant lines. Condensation+refrigerant= Acid which will burn a compressor out in no time.

Im not an AC/Refrigeration tech, but I helped many of my co-workers who are with compressor change outs.

I do a lot of restaurant electrical (all 3 phase), but I don't think it can be done without a phase converter. Better to change the equipmet to single phase.
