Hi Colin,

You can undertake Periodic Inspections and complete the forms using the IEE genereric one. You can also buy forms from most Electrical Wholesalers. They are usually ofered by Instrument Manufacturers. City Electrical Factors have branches throughout the country and you can buy from them.

You do not need to be a member of NICEIC or other organisation, BUT. Remember what you are putting your signature to. A LEGAL DOCUMENT.

NICEIC membership is best if you wish to go down that road. You could apply for Domestic Installer status and take the Part P examinaton to the Building Regulations. Easy enough for a qualified sparky. This form of membership is limited but gives you all the gaurantees you would need as a domestic/residential electrician

Now I now how Frank feels when he reads some of our post. A totally different language.

When Danielle (my oldest) was in elementary school a teacher asked the class what language we speak one student said English, Danielle so no we speak American. The teacher corrected her and Danielle chimed back, My mother is from England and she says we speak American, she speaks English. The teacher then said we actually speak American English.

I like to stay on "Sked-gel". They like to stay on "Shed-yule".
