Question us voltage

does any1 know wot the normal operating voltage of domestic installs is in the usa?

With a (very) few exceptions US residential is 240/120V 60hz 1ph

the reason i ask is i am buying a cordless drill from the us and im nt sure if the charger will work over here

Try looking it up at the manufacturer's website. Many chargers are 120/240 volt.

Knowing where "over here" is would help.

Some "smart" chargers are rated for "110-240v".

the sign up page needs to be changed to require **something** be put in the location window. A minimum of the 2 letters for state or country would do fine.

You better look at the charger specs before you order it. Not only the voltage but the plug. Your plugs are different from ours and so are your receptacles. If the voltage is okay, order our plug and recetacle if possible.
