Mv Junk Cable
Well we do both some say the old dc hi pot is bad on insulation i personally dont think so , its who is doing the test correctly they say vlf test is better as it does not damage the insulation as much . The issue is MV cable mostly !! I think the main issue is the companys who manufacture it they recommend vlf test thats because there cable is not able to withstand the old dc hi pot test and i believe its because its call using cheap materials and the way they make cable today . We also think its do to shut down time as today we like to test with power on with frequency not the old high voltage way . But thats my way of thinking i dont design cable we just test it and we see the good cables and the bad cables if any cable manufactures our online and would like to debate we are here ? comments best to yas
