Default Wire and Cable Bender 500MCM

Hi this is my first post here....and mostly looking for information...

I'm working with a friend that is a master electrician. He has come up with a wire bender and is looking into possibly mass producing them and selling them. Does any one know of any Electrician Tool Expos or anything that he could potentially market his wire bender..?

Any suggestions would be very appreciated...

Unless he's got something totally new and radical, it's gonna be tough going up against the likes of Greenlee, Klien and Racketeers.

I think he plans to contact Greenlee, Klienand and such to see if they are interested in buying the patent or the rights....but right now he's looking for some type of exposure to his wire bender.

Man, ain't that the truth. A few years back I thought that I could wear out some 500KCM. After an hour or so of no luck getting it terminated my apprentice asked what I normally do to get it done. I said that I just make a face and wear it out. When I did just that I severed my bicep tendon. Nasty pain for about 2 years.

I believe the two largest expos are the Electric West Expo, and the one held in McCormack Place (Chicago) every year.

I'd check TedMag for more info.

His design is slimmer and easier to get into tight places....made from 3/8 steel.....plus if we can get the production cost in line his wire bender will be much cheaper than other wire benders.

I must have 3 or 4 different wire benders, some that attach to rachets, some that are shaped like open end wrenches, but the PVC or EMT almost always works the best..... I guess that is why no one trys to develop a better one.....
