16d nail through my left eye trashing the retina. Was building board fence out of native lumber. It was hot, I was sweaty, safety glasses slid down my nose. nail went right over them. Been blind in that eye for 30 years.

I was driven face first into the high school gym locker room floor while being held in a full nelson by a friend who was horsing around trying to put me under the shower with my clothes on, oh & he subsequently fell on top of me as well. I ended up with a serious concussion (don't remember a thing, out for 20 or so min apparently), shattered nose (2 pins), fractured cheekbone & eye socket, 4 broken teeth, 15 or so stitches on my orbital, and 40 or so on the inside and outside of my cheek and lip and plastic surgery on my lip to remove scar tissue after the stitches.

Oh and 4 months later while driving his car home from an amusement park because he was too tired to drive I fell asleep at the wheel and cartwheeled it across the Interstate. The car came to a stop back on its wheels, completely totaled, my door missing and all five people in the car walked away with nothing more than scrapes and stinky underwear.

Paybacks are a bitch.

In all honestly we were very lucky & 15 years later I still count my blessings on that day. I still remember that feeling of thinking I may have seriously injured or killed my friends immediately following the car coming to rest.

Oh.....electrically related.....oops,

Cut the corner of my pinky off yanking a stuck piece of mc through a steel stud like an impatient idiot, all the way down to the fatty white bubbly tissue, so bad that it didn't bleed or hurt for the first few seconds as I stared at it in horror. I looked all over for the hunk of skin but never found it. It took forever to heal and was really sensitive for about a year but now its good as new.

Split my skull (broke the bone) I still have a crack/hole there.
Age 3 dancing with my sister as my brother played the piano, I fell and hit my head against a steam radiator
Quote:
Blew a hole in my arm
Reached into an ATS (before I knew better) there was a loose control wire hit my hand and where my arm was resting a large hole appeared and an immense amount of pain.
Quote:
Cut all the tendons to my right thumb.
Using a Gravely zero turn mower whipped around a tree and pinned my wrist under a broken tree limb.
Quote:
crushed my right foot (They thought amputation might be required)
Got a ski rope wrapped around my foot learning to salomon ski. Bounced off the river bottom a few times as the driver of the pot had been drinking a few and had twisted one up.
Quote:
2nd degree burns on both hands.
A battery blew up
Quote:
Cut 2 finger tips off
Dust collection bag was full and the chips were not adequately being removed from a 6" Delta joiner I reached down and brushed them aside WALA to tips mangled
Quote:
Cut a thumb tip off.
I lived in a old house and was trying to match the trim had a difficult router set up and was making test cuts after each cut had to adjust the jigs.

In each case except the dancing and possible the water skiing Carelessness, not paying attention to the task at hand and not following proper safety measures resulted in an injury

When you work with your hands all day that is the worst place to get hurt. Good luck.

Ok, I pick.....ALL OF THEM!

Explain how they happened, please.....if you want to share. Condensed stories are fine, even one liners. I just want to hear what happened.

I'd say that's at the top of the list for serious injuries. Wow.

Dating a hot blond who was a nasty drunk

She threw a knife at me.. I ducked

The next week I was going to break up with her, but she said she was pregnant

It was a lie

FATAL ATTRACTION was the last movie we saw (1987)

She turned into a stalker and we wound up in court
