Default RCD tripping next door ??

Hi to all The other day I found the fault on a ring main this was repaired and when I was testing the circuit (RCD Test) the neighbour came over and said that his RCD kept tripping I was confused When I tripped the RCD in the house with the test it tripped next door at the same time to me that is wrong
I will be honest I have not much experience with TT systems and this is a new one on me too

Thanks Guys

bizarre, these are modern 30 ma rcd and not old voltage operated junk?

from what your saying it's almost as if there is an interconnection between the two.

It sounds like to me that that next door has an FVOD old voltage trip with the two stakes for each property close together this can happen as it has happened to me before.
Just wondered is either house got a TNCS connnecion as well as a TT earth .

Don't do much TT here [only ever done about 10 total!!]

So these are only my thoughts and are worth exactly what you have paid for them!!

Do they share the same earth rod?
Are earth rods too close together?
Poor earth rod resistance and some leakage going back up t'other earth wire to second installation?
Shared neutral?

Does RCD A trip RCD B and vice versa??

Dunno really, I am just guessing .
