Probably in Texas. Texas doesn't seem to be as affected by the recession as the rest of the nation.

Thank you, actually I am talking to Helix electric about a job out there. I moved to Tennessee about a year ago because Florida got so bad, and now Tennessee is getting the same way.
Its a mess. Thank you for the response.

Helix in California or do they have operations in Texas as well? California might not be a good choice either, but hopefully someone who lives there will chime in.

i guess thats where their headquarters are, they have a project or projects in Texas as well as Oklahoma ans South Carolina I believe. I'm talking with Berg and IES as well.
I've been lais off 6 weeks and I'm going nuts.
After 15 or so years I've never seen it this bad.

It seems to be a little better here now than how it was at the starting of the year. I've noticed more trucks on the road, supply house is busier. The company I work for has a lot more (and better) work now. I just started a complete house remod, four stories, elevator, expensive lighting in San Francisco. Fun job.

My layoff is giving me time to study and kinda get a break, but finacially its killing me, Thank god my wife has a good job. I still feel like a bum though.
