Kinda off topic but somewhat on:

What is the significance of a 'rare earth' magnet on a level?

Does it stick to metal or not.

Those neodymium magnets stick to metal especially well. I guess it's a magnet made of stuff that more rare than a regular-ordinary magnet?

Ideal blows a heavy one, not a big fan of their tools. I had an Ideal 25ft tape for three days before it broke. Pulled it out to measure some conduit and never went back in. F'n tragedy. Needless to say I took it back to Lowe's and bought a Klein tape that's never given me problems in 2 years.
