To be fair, the kit Harry posted does not come with XC batteries, which are over $100 a piece.

For an impact I don't think you need the XC batteries.

The torque and speed ratings remain the same regardless of the battery, unlike the Fuel Drill which has a lower torque rating with the slim pack batteries.

Try it with both batteries. It definitely feels much stronger with the XC battery. I don't know what they advertise, but it certainly doesn't feel the same.

I agree 100% and even if it felt the same, the big batteries last alot longer. Nothing worse than running out of batteries in a crawlspace or top of a ladder.

That's what the battery gauge is for. And honestly, there's less of an excuse with these new fangled brushless tools anyway.

Plenty time to make sure another battery is charged by the time one of these run out.

I prefer the slims for the impact because there's a good chance it's going to end up resting on my waist.

yeah your kit is 299 most places but you get a free xc batter so you get 3 total with the kit
