Have you just tried your local bookstore?

It's like $15 and unless you lose it you will only buy one in your career.

'...Cheap...'

An inspector's/co-worker's copy is free if they aren't looking Don't even joke about doing such to your boss's copy though, they get all huffy and start 'joking' about doing things to your paycheck even IF you're looking

I only have seen it in trade mgs. and on the web.
Dr. Watts appears to be electrical oriented where uglys has a little bit of or everything
This site has both:
http://www.uglysbooks.com/index.html

I don't mean to be an ass, but the book is $12-$15. How much cheaper do you want it?

I have both of the books

Uglies has info that the average electrician may never reference. Also, it is harder to put into a pocket, it is more for the toolbox.

Dr. Watts is much smaller in size. It covers less material and fits neatly into a shirt pocket.
I see it as more for the everyday electrician. How many guys here are installing transformers and bending pipe, not many who are installing residential work.
I do not remember the cost of Dr. Watts, I may have received it as part of a package deal. I got my Ugly's book on Amazon for about $11 at the time.

Seriously. They're not much more than you would probably spend on lunch. Don't be such a cheapskate.

I've seen guys wait for months just to save $2 on a Code book.

So which is a better option: Ugly's or Dr. Watts.

I don't do residential. Only Commercial and Industrial.

Yeah, They used to be PAL Publications, but Cengage bought them out and retitled all of them as DeWalt books. Same inside, different cover. Too bad they diminished the perception of the book by slapping DeWalt on the cover.
