Default Wine fridge and ejector pump on same circuit?

Anyone see anything wrong with putting a 3/10HP sink ejector pump on the same 20 amp circuit as a wine fridge in a finished basement bar?

Pick a circuit that is EASILY recognized as having tripped out (cheaper than an alarm). The wine fridge MIGHT do that but the Master bathroom receptacle would be sure to be noticed.

As long as the amperage ratings for the two doesnt exceed 16A and the "equipment" is the only loads on the circuit I dont see why not. I think the 3/10th HP motor should pull around 4A maybe and the wine cooler shouldnt be above 10A, although diff. models vary. Both of those loads should be considered non-continuous.

Unless the sink ejector pump was installed in the master bathroom, you could not have that receptacle supplied by the same circuit that supplies the master bathroom receptacle. (210.11(C)(3))

A motor can easily draw 300% of its rated full load average when it first starts up and this can be enough to trip a breaker so don't use the 14 amp total figure in the prior post as a guide. So to be safe I would take the total FLA of both motors and multiply by 3 if you really want to be sure the power stays on to the refer.

I don't see a problem..."don't, don't, don't believe the hype....yeeeeah."
Code wise....maybe but in reality, it should work.

Last week I was considering adding a small load to a customers wine cooler circuit because of its location. Then I stopped to think about what was there. Several bottles probably worth 3 months of my salary. I can only guess what my customer would do if they opened that cooler to find many warm bottles that night.

It would be an "unscheduled vacation" for me.
