Default Another UK spark

Hi all,
I have decided to finish off all my training courses, get proper qualified, untill now I've been put off doing installs as new regs in the uk made starting up costly for the amount of work I would get.

done CG2360, 16th ed,worked for others, I'll do 2391 testing,
then 2400 design & verification
then in a year go for full niccy, maybe

after all that ...........they'll change something else and off I go again

Welcome bud

C&G 2391 is fairly straightforward
C&g 2400 isn't so straightforward

You cover a lot of design and verification in 2400

Anyway hope you enjoy your stay here, its great !

Regards

Chris

Hey sorry MDShunk, should have explained a little more.

C&G 2391 is the Uk standard course for inspection and testing installations

C&G is City and Guilds, thats our governing body that looks after the examination courses.

C&G 2400 is the UK standard course for design, installation and verification of installations.
This last one is more for technicians or electricians who want to go one step further.

Think shedfull has given some info too

Regards

Chris

Hey Speedy nice to see you up here, last spoke on Diy chatroom

" niccy " is a name a lot of electricians use for one of our organisations that deal with verifying new and old works

Should read NICEIC it stands for National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors
.

Regards

Chris
