Default From Central New Jersey!

Hi, just stopping by to say hello. I'm also a member at ContractorTalk and was sent an emai the other dayl encouraging me to register here as well. I don't see why I need to be registered at both places but what the hell. I also post over at Mike Holt's forum, and of course my favorite forum, ECN.

I'm "in the biz" now for 17 years and I have worked for several EC's. I don't have my own EC license yet but I'm working on it and going to school at night to obtain my J-Man's certificate. This way, even if I don't pass the EC's exam, I'll still have something in writing from the state proving that I am a qualified electrician. I'm not getting any younger (I'll be 37 in March), and at my age it starts getting quite competetive as far wages paid goes. I am currently unemployed and looking for the "right job" to carry me through to when I hope to get out on my own in early 2009.

I enjoy playing ice hockey 3 times a week, going to Jets games (season tixx, section 339, row 27), Yankee baseball, politics, and hard rock music. Favorites include Kiss, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Ratt, Metallica, Maiden, etc, etc. I'm also a huge fan of talk radio, sports and political commentary.

Welcome, Ron

I think Magnettica is a cool user name. Sounds like a rock and roll group.

Magnettica is a combination of Magnetism and Metallica.

It just came to me when I registered over at the other site.

Welcome!

Sorry if it's confusing that you have to re-register over here. We want this site to be for electrical contractors only and if we copied over the whole list we would have a mix of trades.

Since we are just starting we are open to ideas. What do you like or dislike about those sites and how can we be your new favorite

Thanks for all the welcomes.

I'd say the one thing in common that I like about all those sites is the exchange of ideas concerning the electrical industry as a whole. From wiring methods, to code violations, to how to run an effective electrical contracting business. I'm not sure what I would like to see to make this site better than the others. IMO they're all good because of the people.
