Hello from West Virginia!
Yep, we love our big ole balls of tape and and zip cord!
Joking of course! Hey, I'm super glad I found this forum. Seems you guys like what you do and you like to take your time, make it look good and do it right to top it off. Which is the same philosophy I follow.
Anyhow, southern West Virginia checking in.

In Virginia West VA is the but of all jokes.....Like they use the "National Candle Code". But in reality one of the tougher Master test I ever took.

For me the tough part was the majority of questions (then second time the test was given) were on Fire Alarm systems. Something I seldom mess with, I am a Power Guy. Just required a lot of searching.

What are the requirements to sit for the WVA test? I've gotten quite a few invitations's to bid from WVA that I havn't been able to follow through on. Nice to keep my options open. Martinsburg is only an hour away, and there's tons of work over that direction, so it seems.

Well, I'm not sure how the out of state testing stuff works. But for me, I held my apprentice licence for four years, tested for my journeyman's last year and now getting ready to take my master's.
On the application I think it tells you you need 4 years experience, 8000 work hours or 1080 class hours to take the journeyman. And you need 5 years experience or 10,000 work hours to take your masters. I sent in my job experience and my check to charleston and they sent me the letter saying, "C'mon up bucko! We'll putcha in a chair!"
I honestly don't think there is too much checking up on you for work history. When I was taking my journeyman last year there was this fellow who came and they had him down for the journeyman and he told them, "NUH-UH either! Ahm takin' tha master test ma'am!" She said, "Well if I have any extra master tests left over you can take it". Sure enough, he took it and no one ever went to check up on him or anything...

Just over the Mason-Dixon a little piece, in PA. Right off an I-81 exit. I know you're just a smidge past Frederick, MD. Wife drags me there shopping with her all the time. Actually, she shops and I pay.
