Almost every project that i do in n.y. is "very competitive" however in n.j. it's a different ballgame for example:A basic 200 amp service upgrade install (overhead style) in n.y. my price is $2,500 but my competitors come in usually at 1500-1800 inspections included, however in n.j. i am able to charge 2,800-3,000 and the client not only awards me the project but thanks me for the good price and says "he though it would be more " and this happens to me pretty often when i work in n.j. now get real when was the last time any client had that attitude in n.y. ?

Welcome to the forum. Nice admission on NJ. I moved down a few years ago, just the sales tax difference is a good enough reason.

It's a location thing. You are down near the City. Where I am is more like north central Jersey I suspect. I hear that ALL the time.
