Default Seeking Apprenticeship in Ontario (or Outside)

I'm pursuing a career as an electrician apprentice, and am having a hard time finding an employer to take me in. I've sent out over 100 resumes this weekend to employers I've found through the Yellow Pages...still waiting. I know it takes a while.

I am looking in Ontario, but if there is a position available out-of-province I'll move if it's worth it...

try Alberta, there is no shotage of work. Also, the build up to the Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler would be a great place to get your foot in the door. Good Luck!

Sounds like you are doing the right things so far.

Try driving around and looking at on going projects, find out who the electrical contractors are and do a walk in introducing yourself and you goals.
