Default BC electrician red seal exam

Hi,

I wrote the red seal exam back in 2011, but I failed the exam and I'm about to write it again soon. Any help would be appreciated, hints or question from the exam.

Thanks,

The e-sat book from CSA is your best bet I'd say

I think it's called CEPE now

Thanks,
Get the CSA electronic practice exam question bank and do the practice exams until you can reliably get an 80+. It is far and away the best study tool available and it's less than a $100.

Familiarize yourself with the changes in the 2015 edition. Because there were a lot.

Sections 16 and 62 were completely re-written.

Tables 1-4, and 6 changed too.

Table 39 was added - Residential service w/o #8-106(1)

But you probably know this already.

As others mentioned CEPE is well worth your money and time.

Don't forget the 2012 changes as well because you wrote on the 09 cycle.

I blew my IP away because of the CEPE tool. It's well worth it.

When I wrote my red seal industrial in BC there were only three questions.
My j-men were Thomas Edison and Nick Tesla. My red-seal number is 3

Yes i did get the CEPE and it's a pretty good tool, and i also some how tumbled up on the 2015 Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 on the internet just by browsing. i was like wow, i even downloaded it on a drive, it's explains the code book and gives examples.

i was told there's a question in the ip exam that seems to be a little tricky. the question is: what equipment is used to install a 45 KVA transformer onto a ceiling?

Not sure what you're referring to here. Got a link?

Doesn't seem tricky at all. Which of those is made for lifting heavy loads. Think manufacturer instructions
