Default Fire Alarm Code

Where abouts could someone find a code book for fire alarm, I have been told two different ways to wire something and was wondering which way is correct.

Data loop goes around the building and you come to a stairwell with fire rated walls. Do you need to continue the loop through the stairwell(pipe to octagon and then pipe out of octagon) or can you stop a box and take one pipe into the stairwell(with the in and out). I know where the isolators go just wondering the proper way to pipe it.

It sounds like you can do either way.

I think the CSA Standard is CAN/ULC S524-06 but I haven't read it.

Is it a class A or B slc loop?

Don't forget your isolation modules.

AFAIK, the correct way to wire a fire alarm is to do it exactly as it is shown on the prints.

Check out section 32 and 12 to start, looking them up to refresh my memory as well.
