 08-24-2012, 09:58 AM #1 Member   Join Date: May 2012 Location: brantford canada Posts: 48 Rewards Points: 25 How to calculate service amps I am calculating amp for 600v supply, next is the list of stuff we have to install 600 volt 1 cnc1 - 40amp 3P 2 vacuum1 - 30amp 3P 3 CNC2 - 50AMP 3P 4 VACUUM 2 - 40 AMP 3P 5 stamping mac - 60amp 3p 480 VOLT Four GRINDER - 40 AMP 3P total for all 4 240 volt 20 amp single phase 110 volt 80 amp Please check, Is it right or wrong a)for 600 volt total amp are 210 amp total watts=1.73x600x210=218kw b) total watt for 480 volt watts=1.73x480x40=33.2kw c) total watts for 240v watts=240x20=4.8kw d) total watts for 110v watts=110x80=8.8kw total watts=218+33.2+4.8+8.8=264.8kw total amps service need= 264800/1.73x600=255 amp so it will be 3 phase 600volt 255 amp 250kcmil conductor size please check and correct me, yours postive comments will be appreciated thanks
