Default power with low voltage?

Hi, I've got a situation where two separate dedicated power lines (Romex NM-B) for a Home Theatre (analog & digital) are required. There are a limted amount of small ducts available (full-brick wall), is it okay to combine the Romex with RG-6 satellite TV cable in one duct and combine the Romex with the Phone line in the other duct (they will be in close proximity)? The low-voltage wiring and power will be separated / isolated with different outlets being used.

There's no NEC-required seperation for running NM & low voltage. However, there's no way to predict whether the NM will cause interference on the phone & cable lines, so keep them as far as possible from each other.

Can I use thicker wire than recommended eg. 12 or even 10 guage with a 15 amp circuit; apparently the power amps can benefit from the larger wire? If threre is any problem will the breaker still work like it would with the higher guage (thinner wire) wire recommended?

Bloke, your profile says you are an electrician. A real electrician would NOT have written this post.

You certainly can use larger wire. There is NO Benefit to this in a home though, unless the run is VERY long. The breaker will work fine.

What do you mean by this: "apparently the power amps can benefit from the larger wire" ????

I think this is the type of thinking that manufacturers of Monster Cable have perpetuated for years. I watched the guys do the sound system for Soldier Field where they have have a speaker rack the size of my house. Nothing is bigger than 14ga.

I know OP is talking about power, but I think it's the same type of thinking.
