Default Radiology Rooms

I'm trying to figure out if there is any reason not to put a fire alarm in a radiology room. I know size of the room would probably dictate a strobe only. But are there any potential equipment conflicts that my arise, or does anyone know of an exception that would apply.

Thanks

Based on age of facility & previous use, watch for lead lined walls.

If you are looking for a way out of it just say the words "patient care issue". "it could be a patient care issue because strobe flashes have been known to cause seizures in rare cases". Or any other reason you can think of. Hospitals freak when they hear "patient care".

If not, then there is no reason to not have one in there

I'm doing the plan review and I'm thinking it should have an alarm. Just trying to make sure there are no potential equipment sensitivity conflict type issues

Depends on the radiology room. I can not ever remember putting one in any type of procedure room like that.
