Default Table 220.3 - Application of Other Articles
I think that Table 220.3 Application of Other Articles is a good reference. It is clear that the use of the term "section" is the way we should identify rules in their articles.

Using the term: "Article 220.3" for example is incorrect. The NEC is written by members of 19 Committees who follow the "NEC Manual of Style, 2003 Edition" where this is covered.
