Default 277 Metal Halide light to work indoors

Hello,
I recently found this metal halide light on craigslist:

http://columbia.craigslist.org/bfs/1029674137.html

I would like to install it in my garage and just plug it into the wall socket. I'm pretty sure that we're not wired for 277V so I would have to rewire it. I'd have to open up the ballast and do it myself, however, I'm not too sure how to do that. Plus, I don't even know if it is designated 277V.

Could anyone help me? Are there maybe easier/other ways of doing this?

I can post some close up pics of the lamp tonight, once I get home.

Thanks in advance.

Sure. Hire an actual electrician.

It's easy to do. Call an electrician. He'll know what to do.

If that was the answer to every topic posted, this forum would be obsolete, wouldn't it?

Follow the diagram on the ballast to rewire it for 120 volts. If you can't do that, then I strongly suggest you call an electrician.

I've done stuff like that before, just not with a MH light ballast.

Is there maybe an online tutorial somewhere?
