No, I try to not wear one if given the choice. I spent the first 71/2 years in the trade learning my stuff not being allowed to wear one (on the boats, you could end up scratching a 5000 dollar table or something) so I try to never wear one (my back doesnt care for them, women are built different, so it sits on my hips in a not so comfy manner) Besides, IMO a good worker knows exactly what they need for each job, and carries the tools to do so. I wear carharts and load my pockets with what I need. I will have a belt with extras, but it usually sits in the carner oof the room. But you may not be able to get away with this as a newbie. I have enough pull, that people usually just don't want to argue with me, so they let it go, but I have paid my dues, so I can get away with it. Go with what feels the best for you is all I can say.

Naw, every new apprentice goes thru the ropes of being picked on a bit, it used to be way worse 10-20 years ago, I have heard. Things are good here, lots of work even despite the recession. I just finished school and am sitting on my ass for a month or so on vacation. Im gonna call in for work in the next week or so, prob gonna go back after labour day, but for now, gonna enjoy my summer.

Ah, they sound like any guy I have ever met on any site. Gotta be tough or they will eat you alive. Work is good in BC, lots to do before th olympipcs start this winter. I figure you will be ok in this trade, you will find out what you are good at, and know how to take a ribbing......if you can handle it, you wll be ok.
