sorry I can't seem to post to your thread, my dad was a propane man, I double checked with him. the tank is already grounded. the gas feed to the house should be buried (copper line underground) he also said that he might have been getting a shock from his own delivery vehicle if he wasn't grounding properly, or you've lost your neutral.
