I decided to purchase them for this project as our preferred provider doesn't have the program in place.
I found them for about $400 FOB (delivered) with the level of security I think we will need.
We use combination locks and even snuck one in series with the main gate lock

We have a good size laydown area now we have to decide on storage $1,200 plus delivery for a 20' shipping container or Mobile Mini at $900 delivered for the first week and $100 per week, every week. It's not a plain 20' but with 1/2 office, 1/2 Storage.

You could go a step further, make it accept coins and dole out single servings.

Fastenal actually has a vending machine type setup where you can put more expensive stuff in there and it lets the mothership know when you're low and what you need.

Yes and it works off employee #. The funny thing is last time I worked where they had one, the online work order system showed everyones employee number. So somehow the manager was taking all the duct tape, sds bits, and hole saws.

He started to get on my ass a bit and I reminded him it was a crime to bully the elderly. We get along good now but, I see his point and he understands I have his building by the balls.

My point is that if a supplier is willing to deliver a stocked cart for my use, I'm going to be ahead $1000 in just materials alone.
I haven't used the service yet. It's free. I didn't know if that was a "thing" on jobs everywhere.

The problem with carts from the supply house like this is going to be the wheels having been on rough jobs and drywall screws in the wheels. Especially if they are the gray rubber type on a solid wheel.

Had that problem once on a rubber gym floor.

Be careful!

Seen a couple facilities that I believe the hardware bins are labeled Dorfman with a wing logo.

We got wrong for using to many batteries at night for flash lights. It turns out that if you take a picture of your managers card with a mobile phone the vending machine will happily except the bar code on the screen and open the door.

When the manager over the vending machine booked out all the batteries just before he went home nothing more was ever said about using to many batteries.

Related topic, about what does a shipping container cost in your area? I hear prices all over the place on shipping containers, some seem too low, not much over scrap value.

I don't need the storage right now and hope to keep it this way but if I did, I would consider buying some crappy property and putting a shipping container or two on it rather than getting a storage unit. I am not sure if I'd come out ahead or behind with the taxes and the insurance.

Price of shipping containers is a function of the economy. Anywhere from free to full cost of a new container.

Snickers ought to be a sin as well.....

Sugar in a 1 Mini Snickers Bar is about 18 g and the amount of protein in a 1 Mini Snickers Bar is approximately 3 g.

I just gave away a perfect 20 footer 5 months ago.
Storing a storage container isn’t always convenient or free.
