I have no google listing, or other website at all. I have a facebook business page. I am learning advertising and PPC techniques before I launch a campaign.

Do yourself a favor and go to the facebook page that I sent you in a message. Once you're in there, look at the reviews of PPC- it may not be worth the money.

I see you don’t like taking advice from those who have been in your shoes. That’s fine. Good luck.

Another mind blown.

It will take a bit to digest from some of the other members perceptions and advice. We have all been there before ourselves.

It hasn't really been said, but it has sort of been touched on.

FB isn't somewhere that you should build your business, no social media platform is now or ever will be. You are building your house on someone else's land, and they can take that land back at any time.

So essentially you could build a very nice lead generation tool and they can take it away overnight, rendering your business dead in the water.

Facebook and the other platforms should ideally be utilized, but they should not be your primary driver or where you should spend all your time developing business.

As Hack mentioned, your website is the key. You need that to be owned by you, not some website service. Spend your time developing that, with supplemental advertising coming from other lead generations sources. The only one you can own is your website, so focus some dollars and time on it.

Also, think about how much Facebook has screwed up their image over the last year. Will that drive your customer base away from using the platform? If so, how will that affect your business?

Like others have said your FB page needs lots of changes.

But like Hack said FB isn't the real money maker..

It might sound like we are beating you up,, we aren't... But we see what's missing and what's silly.

I Know your not licensed and why, but people around here expect to see that useless word..
Leave the certified term out unless you list a special very one you have..
You want an old person, non electrician, to see your page and know your an electrician they can trust.

Not really, just something thrown together rather quickly.....

It needs some professional help, but the professionals I have used have never quite worked out.

Nope, not yet.

We had agreed on a price and it had been paid. But then they decided they wanted some more money. It is eventually going to be mine, I have a contract. But it may take some time to work through it all. (Lots of other details that don't belong on the forum...)

Long story short though, get all the details on paper.

Websites are over rated. Every business needs one but honestly as long as google can find it and you phone number is the first thing they see the rest is just fluff. Review are probably the most important thing.
On the flip side I think you are crazy to not have a facebook page for the same reason. Say I need a house cleaner. Facebook is the first place I go.

I agree that the only thing I want is to get someone to call my phone number. But sometimes it's not so easy to get them to call. That is where a good website will help. Many people will go thru a few websites before calling, you want to be the one that they call. The website itself also has a very large part in local SEO, meaning it effects whether Google shows it on the 1st results page or the 31st.

Reviews are very important across the board. They help with SEO, Google Local, and getting people to call. I consistently have customers mention my good reviews.

I don't use Facebook for that nor do I know anyone else who does. I know that some people do, but not everyone.
