Why do we let these guys advertise their website, when it is against every rule in the TOS?

Maybe because a long time ago this was brought up in a post and it was deemed okay, Plus I seen the advertising on the side bar and the banner here before

Got a link to any posts like that? I've seem users promote that software, but I have not seen the authors/owners promoting it in the posts. I'll confess to being a bit in the dark about it, though. I'm not at all familiar with the software or who's behind it.

No, I meant does the OP have a link to a post here where he thinks they're violating the TOS? I do remember someone with a username similar to Brushman or something like that who was a bit too pushy some years back with something similar. Maybe the same thing. I dunno.

Why do you ask? Do you have flat rate software that is not selling because we have discussions about other software? If you have flat rate software that you have created please tell us about it. that is what the forum is for, to have discussions about the business of electrical contracting. If that is a violation of the TOS then maybe it needs to be up-dated...

"We"? We don't own this website. It's owned by a Canadian company who has 600 other similar sites. They decide, we don't.

BTW thank you for using this site. We always like to see US dollars coming our way. It's even sweeter now that the Canadian dollar is in the sewer .

Harry can you.divulge what TOS means? As far as I'm concerned this is a open forum I can talk about what I want until a administration says otherwise.

TOS means terms of service. Rules we agreed to in order to use this forum.

Sbrn33, if you are seeing that ad, it could be that your Google advertising has a website that you visited sometime in the past.

I know this site does have Google analytics, as do most sites that I visit. Anything that Google is being paid advertising dollars for could come up and this forum will get paid for it.

Exactly. If you don't like the ads you see on ET, go visit Victoria's Secret and then come back to ET.

I cannot view the Terms Of Service or Posting Rules on the Register page.
http://www.electriciantalk.com/register.php
It opens another window but is blank. Adware is off.
