A fella would be wise to archive that page or print it out. News articles from newspaper and television websites have the tendancy to "scroll off" after a certain time period elapses.

I just sent that link to a customer who has one and was on the fence about changing it. I'll let yall know if it helps them make a decision.

my parents-in-law have a FPE panel in their house.. dang, might change it out even though it seems in real good shape for being 20+ yrs old

The scary fact-of-the-matter is that the panel was NEVER in real good shape. As an old journeyman told me in the '80s, "Federal panels have disconnects, not breakers!"
