Default New Name

I have recently ventured into business with a parter and after applying for our permits and licensing we have decided we want to change our name from what we originally started as. We are licensed in NJ and I have found no help from the DCA, just a lot of call transfers and full answering machines. Does anyone know the process to just change your business name in NJ? Any feedback would help.
Thank you.

Charge up all your credit accounts and then go bankrupt.
Start a new company next week with the new name.

A "bust out" is a common tactic in the organized crime world, wherein a business' assets and lines of credit are exploited and exhausted to the point of bankruptcy. Richie and Tony profit from busting out Davey Scatino's sporting goods store in this episode.
