I have no respect for telemarketers because their are more respected marketing methods of getting business. Internet, radio,tv,billboards, newspaper, magazine are all respected methods for advertising. When a telemarketer calls me I immediately think they are a fly by night shady business that can't afford traditional advertising.

Regardless, I think of the person at the other end of the phone who is doing a thankless job and is probably in that situation because they have no other choice. Is it too much to ask to simply be respectful? Last I checked it wasn't a crime to do direct marketing by phone unless you are on a "do not call" list.

I have been on that stupid list for years.. it doesn't work..

Now I keep my fax machine off because of junk faxes using up my toner cartridge..

That is a PIA when you need to receive a fax but no ink left..

Is there some way you could run their voice through a delay (say .5 sec.) and just loop it back at them?
