"Triple 7 Service" 7AM to 7PM 7 days a week without an overtime charge. After that, charge whatever you want, but if I were you I would put a premium price on it. You'll need to get your rest and most people will wait till morning.

We have over 20 electricians, HVAC techs and plumbers who rotate the afterhour’s service. About half the guys are between $27 and $29 an hour with the other half over $30/hr with full benefits (non-union) never a layoff.

After hour’s starts after 7PM, there’s a $250 premium to come out. The tech gets $150 of it, plus his hourly, plus he gets paid from his house to the job and back home. Just wanted to mention this to stave off all the negative "your a slave driver" BS that I'm sure is going to come anyway.

We have over 15,000 active residential customers. There are very few after hour calls for the electricians. Maybe 2 or three a month, tops.

We have a manager always on call that monitors the afterhour’s calls. If a guy is out late we'll either start him late the next day or give him the day off.

We are there for our customer's when THEY want us. It's what separates us from the competition.

We take our competitors customers and make them ours, because we take care of our customers and make it about them, not about us.

That's what business people do.

Best of luck to you in your new business.

Hell do your after hours calls for regular time if you want. You aren't going to get any anyways.

I dono' what kind of untapped market you think you've discovered. Fact of the matter is there aren't many people who need an electrician at 2am.

Orange County was one of the first twelve counties established by the Province of New York in 1683

This growth led the California legislature to divide Los Angeles County and create Orange County as a separate political entity on March 11, 1889

That's good. Trash the customers a little with petty comments. I'd leave those types of comments for this site ( and they still are not needed Here). Not your store front. Rookie move from a guy just starting.

The plumbers and the HVAC get most of the gravy...our trade just dont get that much of that kinda work, (24 hour stuff) our stuff is over engineered for a reason saftey!!! Any 10yr kid can and will stuff up a toilet!! lol when the heats off they dont say how much they say WHEN!

" I fix stupid", that's been the comment a majority of customers have heard from me when they discuss their previous electrician.
