Default Any good newer movies

I'm looking to watch some good movies that are newer (within the last year or two). Most of the stuff I see is total crap. I do like action but the newer movies are so over the top it takes me out of them. Huge fan of Historical, drama, thriller, sports, action(if not over the top), comedy, biography, and Adventure. Not into comic book, fantasy, sci-fi, or romance crap. Thanks. Lets see what you got.

It’s older, 2001, but “Frailty” is great.

It’s the best Religious axe chopper movie I’ve ever seen. And I don’t like axe chopper movies. You have to watch the movie closely and the ending is unexpected.

Ok great I'm going to check these out. I'm happy to see "The Current War" is finally out. I was waiting for that to be released for over a year. The Peanut butter Falcon looks to be good. Thanks

I saw a Clint Eastwood movie, "The Mule" a couple weeks ago. I was relieved it wasn't a total waste of two hours.

Hollywood is full mentally ill people who couldn't scare up an original idea if their life depended on it. I know lets remake king kong or midway.

"Ad Astra" is a great story, IMHO!

Not yet for me but I intend to soon.

If your interested in these type movies (motorsports) Rush was excellent.

It's a few years old now, about Formula 1 racing and the life of Niki Lauda.

Not a movie but an Amazon Video series-- Jack Ryan... It is pretty good. John Krasinski, from "the office", is Jack Ryan.

Saw the first season, very good. Second season is out now, adding to my watch list.
I really like Tom Clancy stuff, too bad he's gone.

Noticed the OP mentioned Historical dramas,

Operation Finale was fairly good. It is historically quite accurate, and I've read several books on the subject.

It is about how Mossad agents captured Adolph Eichman in Argentina years after WW2.

Saw "A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood". Tom Hanks was great! I always admired Fred Rogers ability to connect with kids.

It's a documentary, but free solo is incredible if you have any sense of the outdoors.
