The odor must have attracted the bear.

Seen it first hand at a friend's house in PA.

I went in the garage to get a case of water out of the fridge and a small black bear was in the fridge sucking down beers. When I told my buddy he said "I told my wife to keep the door closed to avoid this".

Apparently it has happened often. They come in and break the cans and lick up the beer.

Many wild animals in the US have never been hunted.
200 years ago that bear would be hanging, skinned & gutted if he got within 50 yards of an occupied building.

The night before the garage bear incident my GF and I were out in the pool around midnight and heard some rumbling in the bushes and never thought a thing about it. The pool is like 200 meters from his house.

I wouldn't want a bear comfortable walking in my house with my wife and kids.

I have been hit 4 times in the last month by this dude, tearing up our bird feeders so now the feeders are pulled every night

Bet an ignition transformer and a little work could discourage their feeder play.

Actually yes. We're good neighbors. He would do the same to the beer fridge in my shop.

Just like a woman, don't let the size fool you!

It isn't the size of the bear as much as the fangs and claws!
